I just swapped out my stock plugs for the Autolite HT0 plugs for my upcoming nitrous install. One of the plugs seemed to have a bent tip and some oil residue on it while the other 7 were straight at the tip and had no oil residue. Is this a problem? Any ideas fellas?
If you are talking about the center electrode that's like a needle just straighten it and check the gap. You should check the gap on all of them anyway.
The old plug has a "dent" in the bar that covers the needle "electrode". Almost like it was hit by something. It's different looking than all the other plugs I took out.
Cool, I was thinking that it might have been installed that way at the factory. One of the guys probably dropped it on the ground then put it in anyway. Just didnt want to have an underlying problem with nitrous going on, that wouldnt be a good combination.
The car is basically brand new yet. It only has about 2500 miles on it. I didnt beat the piss out of it either and only accidently hit the rev limiter twice. And knowing how Taco Bell gets my orders wrong, the Ford tech that built my engine probably was an immigrant making like 7 dollars an hour and dropped the plug. Hopefully
