spark plugs

ok guys, new question. I started labeling them and taking them off and one of the little effers broke on me... the head came off of the wire. I'm assuming you can't buy one at a time so i'll have to buy a new set? They say 8mm on them, but most i see for 5.0 mustangs online are 9mm, why are mine 8? They're aftermarket so do u think the previous owner got the wrong ones or should i just stick with 8...

8mm wires do fine for most folks.

Folks often go with larger wires for the machismo and aesthetics of doing so. That said, I agree with the above-thoughts - the FRPP wires are a good deal and will look nice (since you are cleaning, I assume aesthetics are important).

Good luck.

ok, i figured theres not really any difference in the wires themselves except the length of each one. So i just made it work and didn't really pay attention to the numbers. Started up fine, no big bangs or anything :)

you do have the correct cylinders attached to the correct distributor position right? that could be a problem if you don't

Well the spark plugs are connected to the same cylinders that they were connected to before i replaced the wires. I replaced one wire at a time to be sure of this... now whether i used the correct wire or not, i'm not sure, but they all fit. In fact the new ones i got are longer than the last ones i had on there, so theres extra wire kinda floating around in there.

No, it doesn't matter which wire goes where ..... as long as it fit.

Did you get the one's that have 2 different coil wires to choose from? (1 for Fox; 1 for us) If so, that's the one's I got. They are WAY too long, lol. Especially the coil wire.
