Spark Plugs

I have a 1993 GT that I am about to do a tune up on. I am gonna use the Ford Racing 9mm Spark Plug wires and was thinking about using the Bosch Platinum 4 Spark Plugs. Has anybody had a problem with these or should I use something else.

Go with NGK. I have used these plugs on every mustang I owned. The only time I ever had trouble was on my 86, they didn't agree with the 351 when I put nitrous on it. The other plugs I would suggest is Autolite believe it or not. They work really well with mods. Right now I have an 04 3.9 with a 125 shot and run Autolites just one degree cooler than stock.

Oh ok, thanks man I appreciate the input, I think I am gonna go with the NGK's then. I think I am gonna go ahead and get a MSD Coil too while I am at it.

best plugs you can get for your application click on link below...5.0 seems to run best with these copper core plugs and their the plugs used most by stang owners...you are wasting your money buying the expensive bosh plugs..$60 for bosh and $12 for autolite...dont waste your money get the autolite i runem with nitrous no problems...

boush platinum 4's i work at auto and i dont even think i have sold any of them. i guess people got smarter and finally relized the spark is only going to go to 1 and not all 4. its just when one goes bad it will jump to another

Autolites are definitely the way to go, and you can't beat the price.

Any plug you go with, stick with copper. Those +4's are good only for throwing at the neighbor's cat. I have the NGK's. The platinums tend to melt off and then cause detonation.

Plat does not conduct as well as copper. It is harder though (it lasts longer - nice for 100K mile tune-ups on cars that specify plat plugs).

For performance, would you rather have soft compound tires that grip well but don't last super long (copper plugs) or cheapo hard tires that don't grip but last forever (plats)?

Enjoy the coppers (Autolite or Motorcraft are my choices, though I've read good things about the NGK's in 5.0's. I always used them in the sports bikes and they worked well).

what part numbers and gaps are run with the autolites?....for gt40's and e7's for future reference
