I read a post that said a ticking noise is often times associated with sparkplug blowout. Now is this "ticking" noise like when you are pressing the gas pedal or like do you hear it the whole time the engine is running? The reason I ask is because when I press the gas pedal there is a ticking noise that sounds like its coming from the engine. Thanks.

Impact wrench + 18 inch extension to tighten the head flanges. Also look for loose screws on your intake manifold/plenum/throttle body. I had a similar ticking noise that occured at low RPM under heavy load (going at low speed/low RPM in 3rd or 4th gear) and then opening up the throttle a bit. I tightened up all exhaust pieces and changed spark plugs over the weekend and no more noise. It sound like the noise was coming right out of the glove box, so was probably that plug closest to the firewalll on pass side. If none of the above work, then you have possibly blow out your exhaust manifold gasket.
