Speed Limiter/Governer

My Mustang gets hella loud when I hit 100. I even had the windows up and radio on.

I remember reading somewhere that the GT's are governed about 145-147 and Cobra's around 155-160...I don't remember what article I was reading..

I read the same thing somewhere. It was so rediculous, I needent worry about it. I'm never going to get close....

the new cobras are limited to about 160 cuz if they didnt have a limiter they would go over 170-180 and literally get airborne, motortrend took the 03 cobra to do a top speed run and when it hit the governor at 160 it was pulling so hard it threw them foreward in the seat, i want one

IMO, over 120 in an otherwise stock stang is a deathwish. Hell, 100+ is a handful.

I have hit 140 in my 01 GT. I have also been in a crown vic patrol car that was doing 145. One of these days I will see how fast I can make mine go.

They won't go that fast.

i've had my dad's grand marquis BOAT up to 115 and it was getting kind of squirrely..........for a boat!
