My car had fire last year and it burned up the speedometer conection. I have been driving the car without a speedo but I recently sold the car and need to fix it before the guy takes the car. When I went to the local auto part store they sold me a manual speedo cable and it appears it is an electronic conection. My question is where can I find the plug end that connects to the tail shaft of the trans and also the sensor that it plugs into. Junk yards in my area have many v6 cars but no v8' ? Are they the same?
