NEVER route your speedometer cable too close to the headers.
Just bought a used one for $20 to replace the one I melted.
Sometimes you forget about these simple things.
Last time I had the engine out Rebel (sometimes posts here) was helping me and he routed the cable wrong! I have yet to replace the quick fix cable end with vacuum cap hose clamped to it replacement cable! I want to get an electronic Autometer Speedo and have it cailibrated at a speedo shop for open road racing action. I will route the wires to the speed sensor personally
