Hi!

My question may sound stupid but... Looking at the following page, you can see:
Mustang Coupe, V8, 4.6 & 5.0, (exc. IRS & convert.) 94 - 04 / Sport-Line Kit, (Street / Track) / 2.0 1.8 / 4.1035 / $218
AND
Mustang Conv., 6 Cyl. 99 - 04 / Sport-Line Kit, (Street / Track) / 1.7 1.5 / 4.1035 / $218

Is this EXACTLY the same model, meaning that I could order the 6 cyl Conv. ones and having the same product? If so, why is the V8 model more dropped with the same model? Isn't the conv. one heavier? I'm going to buy some used Sportlines 4.1035 but they were previously on a V8 convertible 2003 and it worries me.

Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Yan

the convertable v6 is probably pretty close in weight to a GT coupe.

I agree, but the convertable V6 would have to be much lighter to have a 0.3 inch higher drop with the same springs. I called at a Mustang shop and the guy told me that there was no such thing as Sporlines for a convertable V8, that these springs were originally made only for the coupe V8.

If it's REALLY the case, then I'm ok and it's probably why the guy sold his springs; he tried them on his convertable V8 and the drop was WAY too low.
