as im finding out, bolt on's cost alot and dont do that much. im wondering about nitrous but i have no clue about anything about it. first off, whats the diff between wet and dry kits. which is better? and lets take this for example http://www.mustangtuning.com/vevcn10nikit.html ... is that a totaly complete kit that is SAFE? if i did do this..i would want it as safe as possible..and prolly spray a 50-75 shot. thanks

I'm surprised nobody said anything, but I dont really know much either other than a 75 shot is perfectly fine.

no power adder is completely safe. there is always some risk when adding more power than the factory intended. but a good kit will reasonably safe so long as it's installed and operated properly. i'm not a N20 expert but i believe the difference between the wet kit and the sry kit is that one add fuel and the other doesn't.

do a search on here... I have seen a few of these exacts threads before. Here is my input. If your gonna do it right get a direct port system, pricey but safe as it will get. I would personally run a 125 wet shot tops. A wet system uses a fuel selenoid(sp?) to add the extra fuel where a dry lets the pcm do the math. to risky to me, but some guys swear by them.

...I can take it. I think.

Alot of these guys have run nitrous set-ups and know the ins and outs of a basic set-up.

Well Im doing nitrous on my car and am gonna start getting things orderd as I go.

First of all wet is the way you want to go. A dry kit involves alot of more things you need to change.

Im doing this setup on mine:

Wet 100 shot Nitrous Express Kit
GenX 2 Kit (includes: purge, blowdown tube, bottle heater, pressure gauge, and low fuel shut off)
Electric bottle opener (maybe not sure yet.)
2 steps colder plugs.

Thats all you need and then im gonna get a dyno tune for it latter not required though.

It could have been he missed a gear or it had sprayed to soon alot of things can happen, not enough fuel, to big shot.

Two friends of mine were racing one day at a... ah... strip.... anyways here they are lined up on the "strip" getting ready, count down and go to take off and booom blew his intake right up. He still dosent know what happend.

Im kinda nervous about it and am still kinda of looking at other things.

Well I can say I know 3 guys that use it and sware by it. As long as you get all the safety equipment for it, its totally safe. Two of the guys have ran prolly over 100-200 bottles through their cars each. One is a DD and the other is a trac car. The DD has had it on for 3 years and none of them have ever had problems.
