For those who have had shops install their springs for them, how much did they charge you?

I have some h&r springs i want to install and the one shop i called today wants $100 for install. does this sound about right?

....and before anyone says anything, i cant do them myself. i dont have the tool nor the time to do it.

thanks in advance

That doesn't sound bad but...............

Serious it takes simple hand tools. If you don't have the tools or the time $100 is one of the better quotes I have heard of.

Well if you don't have the jack that comes with the car nows a good time to get one, what are you going to do if you get a flat tire? And no you don't need another jack to keep the spring compressed.

$100 is a great price, I would think it would cost more like $200+/-. It's a very simple job but then again it seems that I was born to work on cars...... with the exceptions of tires & alignments, I have never taken any of my cars to a mechanic, so I'm not real familiar with labor prices but 100 bucks sounds like a steal.
you should at least get a emergency jack for your car though for changing a flat.

Or at least throw a can of Fix-a-Flat in the trunk.

$100 is a good price.

one jackstand and a floorjack is all thats needed besides a ratchet and a few sockets, roughly 45 minutes is all thats needed. but $100 aint bad for an install.

$100 is about right, you can expect to pay about $250 for springs, shocks and strut install....

I think $100 is a good price but switching out springs isn't too too hard. If it were me, I'd spend some money on tools including a jack and jacks stands/ramps to do the job and have a friend help you out. Great learning experience but what can I say? Your on a website with a bunch of auto enthusiast/ do it your selfers
