The spring tab goes towards the inside(close to the engine). Both sides.

Good question.

Oooooh. Good question. I don't know that one, but I do recall mine being set up with one side in and one side out. Apparently that affects the ride height a little. Don't know if that's true or not.

bnickel or one of these other smart guys should be able to help you out on this one so stay tuned.

Do you have stock upper arms? I ask because Global West says to reverse them when using their arms. Other aftermarket arms may be that way too.

the perches are supposed to be on the inside so the spring doesn't come unseated at full droop. the spring is loaded more on the inside when the suspension droops that on the outside and the tab will keep the spring from popping loose from the perch. all said it's not a huge deal if they are on backwards but i would at least make sure the perches are positioned the same on both sides otherwise you could see a minor difference in ride height from one side to the other and the suspension could be loaded differently from side to side.

thanks guys.

I do have global west upper arms.
however when I do jack up the car my springs basically are loose at full sag. So I think I will reverse them for that reason.
I will call global west first to make sure its ok.

Your car will never see that much suspension drop unless you are jumping it like Gone in 60 seconds.

if you have dropped the UCA's like GW recommends and have a non-stock spring it's not a big deal. my springs almost fall out when i jack the car up and i haven't even done the shelby drop on i yet. i can change the springs on my car without a spring compressor and i almost don't even really need a prybar either. once i get opentracker roller perches installed i doubt i'll even need the prybar for what little bit i do now since the binding from the stock rubber perch bushings is pretty much the only thing keeping the springs in well and the shocks of course. it really isn't a big deal since most aftermarket high rate springs are that way especially if the UCA has been dropped

ditto.

when my car is jacked up, I can grab the spring and pull it out (if the shock wasnt there it would fall out by itself)
Its becoming a hassle , whenever I go to let the jack down, I have to slowly release it , and guide the tops of the springs back where they belong.

Ive done the shelby drop, and have shortened my global west springs. I was contemplating limit straps to fix this problem, but if turning around the perches might help, its worth a try.

I asked Global West, they reccomended them be flipped around (tab stop outside toward fender) when using their Upper control arms.
They said it works better with their negative roll kit. some geometry thing.

I'll just have to live with the springs falling out whenever I jack the car up for now, future plans to install limit straps.

Before my MII install I had the shelby drop and 1/2 coil cut off 620 springs. I had to zip tie the tops of the spings so they would not come bouncing out of my fenders when I jacked the car up. I had planned to install limiting straps as an extra per-caution (just incase I had to jump an accident to get away from the cops). But as was already said, its fine for driving, just be sure the springs seat back correctly after you do jack the car up.

It's all water under the bridge now with the shock towers missing

It's a clearance issue with thier upper arms. If the spring perch is put in like the original ( tab twards the inside), it hits the back of the arm. It's not a geometry deal since it bolts in the same place.
