i have a five speed and when i push on the gas it sputers on take off at first and the i fave power, when i shift to the other gears it does the same thing....sputers at first then i gain power....first i thought it was the fuel pressure regulator and the throttle...i ajusted both but no luck.... i even went as far as going back to my stock fuel in jectors and mass air...but it still doing it....is it a sensor??? what could it be, any suggestions???

I would run codes. Pay attention to things like TPS codes (a la a dead spot in the TPS during its travel), etc.

Good luck.

could it be spark plugs???
You tell us. It wouldnt be my first guess (or near the top of my list) but we dont know the condition of the tune-up parts on your car. If you have doubts, yank a couple and check them. Like I mentioned, were it me, codes are where I start.

Good luck.

CLEAN YOUR MAF.

Trust me, Ive recieved many pms "THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN!" etc. I went through the same problem for a year replacing about $1,000 worth of misc sensors.

Most likely youre running a K&N filter, they use a special oil to capture dirt, that oil also gets sucked onto everything else, including the MAF. The MAF operates using 2 small wires, the computer trys to keep those wires at a certain temp, when more air flows over them (more air is being sucked into the motor) they cool off and more voltage must be applied, so the computer knows more air is coming in so more fuel must be applied. When that sensor is dirty, it becomes insulated, so the computer does not know how much air is coming into the motor as the wires become less sensitive to tempature changes.
