in the mornings the belt squeaks until it warms up. Do you have any ideas, could it just be loose?
thanks

can you describe the squeaking a little better? I think I have the same sound on cold mornings. It's kinda hard to describe the sound but mine sounds like a really really high pitch horn. It comes and goes randomly. I was thinking the same thing as you that it's coming from one of the belts. But i thought that when it's cold the belt tightens

its not a constant squeak, every other second. I just replaced the ac clutch late last year so its not that.
I am going to ask a ac mechanic friend of mine and see what he says.

New belt fixed this exact problem on my car. I think the spring tensioner was at its limits trying to compensate for belt stretching. Mine never does it now.

Change the Belt...if you need a quicker fix get a can of belt dressing, and spray it on at start up.
