I have a 1971 Mustang Fastback. Most everything is new under the front suspension but I can't seem to quiet the squeaking in my front end. It doesn't spueak when I push down on the car but on the upward travel it loudly squeaks. It is agreat looking and sounding car but the squeaking makes it sound like an old worn out car. Any suggestions?

if every thing is new ,i would try greaseing the a arms again .the most common squeek comes from the spring seat. try a little penetrating oil on the rubber see if that makes a difference.

I have had incredible success with Wynn's Viscotene Lubricant. It's from their professional product line and comes in a spray can with a straw nozzle. It is a bit tacky and works fabulous on sway bar bushings and links, as well as the rubber spring perch areas. Also, with my Global West A-arms, I have had to remove the cotter pins and loosen the nuts on the A-arm shafts to get grease to flow through the zerk fittings into those bushings. Makes for a tight, quiet front end. My 2 cents! CT

I always had trouble with squeaking from the upper control arms - until I went to Opentracker roller bearing parts. Even with new Ford parts it doesn't take long for a squeak to develop. I think I read someone on here recommend removing the spring to take the load off the UCA so that the grease can get into the area that is normally always loaded. It made sense to me at the time - if the parts are loaded how is any grease going to get in there? Anyway - I got annoyed with the stock Ford front suspension and went to Opentracker. Now it works a lot better.

Worn out spring perches will make such a squeak too.
