squealing noise

I hear a squealing noise coming from the clutch area...doesn't sounds serious...it isn't really loud either...it goes away when I press in the clutch...I was figuring it was a throwout bearing...but someone told me if it was the throwout bearing that it would make the noise ONLY WHEN I PRESSED IT versus going away when I press it...hmmm

mine did the same thing, when i put pressure on it the noise went away. I changed the throwout bearing and its gone.

hah! so I was right...the mechanic said no that it was the fork and that I might as well replace my whole clutch...I was like ummmm no..
