Winterport would be fun.

Larry, if you want a Tri-Ax, look into the auctions on Ebay. I got mine for $155 shipped! It just takes a little more time, thats all.

Well, I am leaning that way, and I'm sure if I needed it tomorrow, i'd just pay the $180, but like you said i am patient and hope to get it for a little less. And, while I'm sure it's a pretty easy mod, I would still like a supervisor, just in case.

Id still rather just throw down $100 and go to epping and have the track to ourselves for the day and have them prep it.

Thats fine also but thats only for 1 time......And i 'm willing to bet you wont be able to drive your car the way it could be...at least at Winterport you get practice in the areas that count....doesnt take much talent to shift into 4th.....I dont know if its changed at all but I'd rather spend $20 and race all day than drive to epping at night and get 1 run

I know what you mean, winterport will be a good place to go as far as learning how to launch the car ( which I need pratice at ) so if you guys want to set up sometime to take a trip down Id go as long as Ive got it off from work.

Well it just so happens that August 1st is Mustang v Camaro day at Winterport.
The Mustang contingent is usualy a little weak in the numbers department so some decent cars there would be a good thing .

Damn, I really hate 1/8th mile though. If I was gonna break something, I would rather it be on a 1/4.

A word of advice from someone who`s been there?
Get BFGoodrich Drag Radials.
They might not last quite as long as Nittos on the street but they hook much better at the track.

Sundays are usually good for me in the summer, so Aug. 1st sounds like fun. I got the nitto's because I don't think I'll go to the track that much, but I wanted something that would hook up a little better that street tires. Besides, I'm not putting as much to the wheels as the rest of these guys.

And thanks guys, I'll let you know when I get the shifter. I just wanted a tool bitch who's Done It before if you know what I mean.

Are any of you guys meeting up before the show on Saturday? I'll be staying on the mainland somewhere tommorrow night so I can be there on time Saturday morning. Just debating if I want to stay in augusta (cheaper hotel, but more driving, not that thats a bad thing ), Brunswick (Mid price hotel, but still a ways away from portland, so more cleaning when i get there), or Portland (Expensive motels, but can have the car all ready the night before and very little cleaning in the morning).

I wouldn't mind getting some practice in at Winterport. It would be good prep for the 1/4 mile at Epping. I still would like to do the track rental sometime this summer though.

Yeah, but the mall is south of the show, right? And south of most of us. But it doesn't really matter to me. Just need an idea of what time cause I won't be anywhere near my comp. after 3:30pm tommorrow. What time are you meeting in Augusta and where, Topsham, the mall?

Im still going w/ Nitto DR's, they look better then BFG's and they last longer, the minor diffrence in grip is worth the added tread life you get w/ Nittos
