Better get to it. May will be here before you know it. Don't you have the rubber gaskets? I'am still using the stock valve cover gaskets. They work great.

I had the steel core rubber gaskets. New ones last year. You should see what they look like. Real nasty looking. They werre coming apart on the inside of the valve cover. The outside edge looked great. Just wondering if the oil was too hot and cooked the part of the gasket that it came in contact with.

You know why. Proper valvetrain geometry! I did find the article from a Car Craft mag that I mentioned to you quite a while ago. It shows you where the roller tip should be at base circle and full lift.

the oil probably just ate the rubber up over time.

I think I put those gaskets on last year. Very little mileage on those but plenty of heat. I'm sure that oil is getting hotter than normal after it goes through the turbo. I have wanted to add a oil cooler since last year. The oil pressure drops a little more than it used to when at full operating temp.

Did they also happen to mention that the giude plates can cause the roller to be off. There can be more than one reason why they could be off. Let me know if that helps you. I know mine could use some adjustment. I can't believe that your gaskets went one you that fast. I had mine off and they looked fine.

Restriction creates preassure. Thats why you have less oil pressure. You have less of a restriction cause of the oil line to the turbo. I thought you knew that.

Well got my first kill with the KB tonight. It was an 80's CRX. It was turboed (14psi)and some other stuff. 2 runs from a roll. I pulled him pretty good on both. No contest. The damn little poo poo box ran pretty good though!! I'm sure he could take a mildley (i.e. bolt on) 99-04 GT no prob. We pulled into a parking lot and BSed for a good 45 mins afterwards. He was actually pretty damn cool. He knew his stuff. He looked like a total ricer with his little beanie cap on, but not the case. I wish my car weighted 2100!!!! :damnit:

Bernoulli's principle thus says that a rise (fall) in pressure in a flowing fluid must always be accompanied by a decrease (increase) in the speed, and conversely, if an increase (decrease) in , the speed of the fluid results in a decrease (increase) in the pressure.

This being said, your motor is running significantly hotter due to the turbo. Oil is going to be thinner, hence the Velocity is going to increase, causing pressure to decrease.

Larry, we are gonna have to leave early in the morning to get down to bristol dyno

like 5am early

From the website
The days will be split up into two sessions - morning and afternoon. Morning session cars must be at Bristol Dyno by 8am! Afternoon session cars must be at Bristol Dyno by 1pm - appointments might run longer than an hour, or might take less time depending upon car combinations. Note : the order listed is NOT the order for the day and we are NOT doing appointments by the hour! BE ON TIME! Plan on spending at least half the day - come out, have fun and spend time with fellow Mustang Enthusiasts!

Correction, you have to leave super early. I have an afternoon time.

Seriously though, I may drive down friday night and stay w/ my sister.
Probably I'll drive down to Portsmouth on friday night, and the rest of the way sat. morning. Depends on when the x get's to Rockland. Either way, you can have dinner w/ my family sat. night if you want. PM me your number, I lost it.

Also, it's been moved to xxtuning. And it wouldn't hurt to ask Pete if anyone would be willing to switch an afternoon time for your morning time.
