well I officially ruptured my right eardrum. Hurts like hell. Happened yesterday when we were decending back into Brunswick from FL. Can't fly for a few weeks. Can barely hear out of the ear. Word of advice, NEVER fly with a cold!

A little foreshadowing to this summer perhaps...

Dan, hope you're all right. I remember as a kid being told an eardrum can't heel. i.e. the only thing you should stick in your ear is your elbow.

It will heal and I should be back to 100% within a few weeks, so the Flight Surgeon tells me.

Read.......

http://www.azmustangs.com/videos/bikesvscars.html

The point of these races and videos is to show approximately how much power it takes for a street car to truly beat a regular 600cc sportbike on the street. There are way too many jackasses with 400-500hp cars claiming to "smoke 600's all the time" and it is really annoying. Sure, you might beat a random 600 on the street if the rider sucks or doesn't go all out , congrats on your win but that doesn't make your 11, 12 or 13 second car a bike killer

Some of these races bikes win and others the cars win, but the main point is to show just how much it actually takes to even be in the same leauge w/ a 600-1000cc sportbike. Alot of these bikes to are older bikes, even if they are 03's thats still before fuel injection for bikes and every yr they get lighter and more powerful.

all those riders were VERY experienced......Do you really think you could do as well against a 600 rwhp Cobra?

how do you know they were VERY experienced? Id say some of them are pretty dumb ( wearing sneakers and shorts) But as far as there ability to ride there is no way to tell. Maybe it was the drivers of the cars as well, you know kinda like Mike having over 500 RWHP and running 12's . I never said anything about my rider ability and how well I would do. Im just making the point it takes alot more then loud exhaust and a power adder to spank a sportbike. My bike only puts down 105 HP at the wheel, but thats all it takes.

Dry weight of the bike is 361

Wet weight is 430 w/ a full tank of gas

I weigh 191-195 ( depending on the day )

Total weight on a full tank - 621-625

Comes out to about 11.2 1/4 time according to the conversion caculator I found. Magazine testers got it down to 10.7 but thats all they do is test and race bikes.

It just a matter of taking it apart and replacing the old clutches and steel plates with new ones. It really smells. The worse part is putting the spring back in. We can take care of it at some point.

You have to use your A/C?? Feel bad for you. Nothing more cooling then cruising on a bike during the sumemer w/ all the vents open on the jacket.

No one likes it when you are cruising around with your pants undone.
