Now how about a Dart or World block stroked to 371 and a power adder. Sick power to be had there if you have some cash.

Those dart and world blocks are awesome but damn $$$$$, Id stick w/ a RHN, DSS, CHP block and still be able to easly get out 500-600 HP out of it.

I was thinking about the loc wire gaskets. Not sure if those would work with this damage without being milled. Don't really want to mill everything.
You can feel the depression left in the head right where it blew.
I'll bring it to work tomorrow and have our mechanic take a look at it and see if he has any advice.

that can be fixed , my buddy had the same thing happen to him, Denny sent it out to be fixed and got cometic gaskets for us and we haven't had a problem since.

tough to see but the block is a little scorched between the two cylinders but seems ok. THe cast iron can take more of that then the aluminum can.Cleaned it right up after.

Thanks for the edit.
An aluminum block and heads will take more heat. I don't know why some of you guys are so enamored by the heavy iron blocks.

The mechanic at work said I should bring it to a local engine builder and see what they can do. He said its possible to weld it.
If I go to Denny's house this week I will talk to him about it and find out who he would suggest sending it to.

just got a call from the kid who bought the car off me last summer. Nice to see its doing well. I guess he burnt the clutch out of it in traffic and was just wondering what kind was in it. He said he was not slipping it but you never know. Well nice to know it hasnt been stuffed into a tree. Makes me wish I had it back now.

You should be able to get it fixed, Bryan. Sometimes these things happen when playing with boost.

I had a little bad luck today. Driving home from the shop today and hit the brakes in the truck a couple times hard. Well, the rear line is rusted and decided to let go. So, I had no brakes!! I drove it home 15 miles with just the E-brake and down shifting, that was fun, . Found a small section of line rusted through, should be an easy fix. I plugged the rears off at the master cylinder and now I just have fronts, to get me by. I was lucky no one was in front of me. Several years back I was driving to bangor with a buddy and he was following me in his truck(which is the same as mine) and his went out too, from the same rusted line. He was traveling 70mph and the traffic stopped suddenly from construction and he had to us the grass median. LOL, that was some serious SH**.

BTW, I put my wheeler out in front of my shop with a for sale sign, too see if I would get any takers. It sold in 2 hours!!! Put it out there at 9am and was sold by 11am. I couldn't believe it.. Later fella's ... UFC 63 this Sat at my house if interested...
