yeah the whole garage smells of diff fluid now. Pig mats are awesome! Income tax will be coming back soon so I'm going to get this over to the ford dealership and get all the new bearings put in. It is a lot lighter w/ the differential out

Sup guys,
I need to rebuild my rearend. I have FRPP 4:10 gears, master bearing kit, FRPP girdle.
Ive never done gears before and the gears that were in this car when I bought it were 4:10's but these bearings are burning out every 45k miles. Should I buy another rearend so I can use the MHD or is there someone that can help me install these in the Gray area? Beer/Pizza + $100 or something like that? let me know. Thank you!

I'm currently having my rearend rebuilt. Thats one thing that I have not done on my own and I really dont want to. To many tools involved that I dont have. I'm taking my rearend into the ford dealership in auburn in the next month or so, they said they would rebuild it for $440. Its currently not running yet still have some parts to buy and put on so thats why I'm just taking the rearend in. You shouldn't have bearings burning out every 45K

Travis let me know when you put it back in. I'll give you a hand. Its super easy and you dont need to rent a tranny jack. I swapped an IRS to SRA and just had the 3 ton jack.

sounds like something is definitely wrong. I would take that to a professional. Maybe the rear end isn't exactly straight. Just a thought.
You might want to go with a new rear or perhaps one out of a junk yard.

Sounds good fred, I'll give you a heads up ahead of time.

Mike the patriots were pretty beat up when the giants played them before this year and its not the same giants team that beat them in the superbowl before. New England did not let baltimore come into their stadium and beat them again in the playoffs, I dont see them letting the giants take another ring from them either.

Like it or not, the Giants just seem to have the recipe to beat the Pats. Let's face it, the key to the Pats winning another Superbowl lies in the hands of Tom Brady and him having time to throw. The one thing the Giants do better than anybody is get pressure on the QB with their front 4, and I see this being a big problem for the Pats, especially when the Giants can drop 4-7 in coverage, and still get pressure This has been the blueprint for beating the Pats, and quite honestly, they are the ones who really created it 2008. Eli is playing at a high level, the WR's for the Giants are going to be a nightmare for the Pats secondary, not to mention the 1-2 punch of Bradshaw and Jacobs. As much as my heart wants ring #4 for Brady, it looks like a replay of the last 2 meetings in my opinion.

If I have learned one thing over the past 10 years watching the patriots it is to expect the unexpected. I'm not saying this will be a cake walk but I'll never count then out until the game is done. Trends are broken often in the nfl.

Mike if you want to come over with Fred when my rearend goes back in that would be cool. Not sure when it will be yet but would be nice to have a few of us get together. You as well Bryan.

Go Pats!!!

If they lose we will all sell our Stangs and buy Prius's!

Auburn quoted me $600 and their "rearend" guy called out sick. Then the next week I brought it in and he was on vacation...

Let me know if he actually does the install and who does it. Ill try to set it up with them again.

Not sure why there is a price difference. They quoted me 5 hrs of labor. I was supplying all the parts though. Your going to pay top price for parts at a dealer. If you were planning on having them supply the bearings then don't, just get them here it includes everything you need.

Fred, I'll get my headers coated as well and we can throw those on to and I can actually start the damn thing for the first time since september of 2010, well it had better start.........

Was that parts included or just labor costs? Rearend jobs are pretty pricey it seems no matter where you go.
