on the way back from Laconia Bike Week some turkeys ran out in the road. To avoid hitting one of my friends I hit the brakes too hard and locked up the rear brake. This happened saturday. I'm in some pain but it could have been much worse. Hit the pavement probably doing 40+mph.

I added some descriptions to the photos.
Talked to insurance company today. They will send someone out this week to take photos but the agent I talked to over the phone says it is a goo possibility it may get totaled. I don't plan on letting them take it. Probably buy it back then sell it myself for more money. They will pay me for any things I added to the bike plus the gear I was wearing.

You should. Just looked at all the pics. Good thing you were wearing gear, I never rode mine w/ out a jacket and helmet and always had at least jeans on. Think of how much worse it would have been w/ out that stuff. How bad is your wrist?

the wrist hurts just like my bicep area does on the other arm. Depends on how I try to use that appendage. It can be a very sharp painful experience. It hurts at times trying to use the computer. X-Rays showed no breaks. Going to PT tomorrow.

some things are getting better but it will take some time just hoping not too much time. The sharp shooting pains in my arm catch me by surprise. Moving just the right way will cause those.

Not sure how long I will be out. Going to PT tomorrow. Its going to take some time. The worst thing is my right arm. It gets very painful trying to lift it up on its own. The muscles hurt and there is a big bruise on the back side. It even hurts sitting here trying to type or use the mouse. Having it in an elevated position can be painful.
The insurance adjuster is coming to take pics on Friday.

The guy came over this morning and was here for almost an hour. Took tons of pics of the bike and a few of my riding gear. They are going to replace a bunch of stuff including the tires because they were scuffed up sliding sideways. Good news is my frame comes in a couple of sections that are bolted together. Where the front peg broke off is a short inexpensive piece of frame that can be replaced within an hour. Parts and labor is around $3500. Paint is separate but paid for. The towing which should be free from Big Moose will be covered if its not free. They are also paying me back for the safety gear that was destroyed.
I'm supposed to hear back from the adjuster on Tuesday.

any updates on the bike? How are your wounds doing?

Took the car down to Protree performance today. They are on vacation the first week of july so shooting for a dyno date on weds the 11th which is when my vacation starts.

They are putting on the cat and fitting the catback system. Also going to have them redo the lower intake it was puking oil the whole way down. Dont think I had enough RVT on the back of it.

Waiting for the insurance adjuster to call me today. I will have to call them tomorrow.
Went to the doctor today and she is keeping me out for 2 more weeks. Will have to contact insurance about short term disability. Arm is coming along OK just not as quickly as I would like. Doctor told me I could mix Tylenol for the pain and Aleve for the swelling. I didn't think I could do that so I have only be using the Aleve. Arm feels better now that I have been using the Tylenol.
Installed 3 AC units today. Two at my mother's house. Getting ready for the hot weather.
