good idea you got there. but wouldn't that be about the same as revving to 5000, drop the clutch and mash the gas at the same time?

I've never been comfortable with side stepping, maybe i'm a puss but I blew up one clutch & I'd rather not repeat the feat. Besides I doubt the tranny would stand up to it again & that was when I had a measly 197RWHP

I have issues with all my clutches it seems I tend to think it's my driving but there may be something else going on...I dunno.
Anyway like I said ... I'd power shift the 1-2 & 3-4 shifts & cut the best light you can & see what happens

I see no point in side stepping..., If you guys would do like 25thmustang says and powershift every gear you'd be in the 12's easy. I always powershift when i run. Your gonna cut probably a tenth off for every gear you powershift. What are you running for air pressure in your ET Streets? i had a 1.70 60 foot with stock suspension on slicks. Launch the hell out of it and powershift... if you want to go fast

I thought so too but when you launch at 5000 or so, the pedal is only about 2/3 of the way down... The best way would be a two step, but without one I feel putting it to the floor and dumping it when it hits the right RPM would be the closest to a two step!

You ain't lying man. I love my 2 step. Yes, launching talking about works great. Just takes a little more effort to blast the tree to hell.

Yeah thats why I dont do it, its so hard to time it and get a good light, and on a pro tree, forget it!
