Stalling Problems

Last night I installed the K&N Mach 1 CAI on my Mach. In the directions it didn't say to use the MAF screen so I left it out. The car runs great untill I go to slow down to stop....then the car dies. The RPM goes to about 300 RPM then dies. What is going on? Do I need to install the screen again? What makes the car die? The screen looks like it wouldn't fit with the kit so I have no idea how I would make it work if I had to put it back in. Anyone have this problem?

sounds to me like your idle air control valve isn't opening. i don't know why what you did would cause that, but the symptoms make it sound like that is what is going on.

Reset the computer and give it a while to relearn. It will smooth out your idle. don't worry!

How long does it take to relearn? I drove the car around for about an hour last night and it still died.

try putting the sreen back in
i think its way to much air
so your car is stalling.
