Started on my New motor for my Falcon

Well today I guess was the first day working on my new motor for my Falcon. I got the Scat 4.250 crank and Eagel 6.700 H beam rods in today. I have a 427 block but needs to get check out before I use it. I'm doing that Monday. If it's no good I need to buy an aftermark one. A Genesis cast iron block or Shelby Aluminum block. Which I should do any ways but they are a pretty big penny. That's all I got right now. I need to know which block I'm going to use before I get custom pistons made. I got to get a roller cam made. I'm going to use my intake and heads off my motor now, but I'm going to send them off and get them ported and polished. Then I'm installing a roll cage illegal to 8.50.I also got my fiberglass hood in today. I hope it's done by next season or I'll have to start the season with my mustang until the Falcon is done.

Here are pic of what it looks like when I drop it off last night. I took the old roll bar and everything out of it. I'm getting a 12 point cage and new seat installed. I'll start build the new motor next week. It's going to be a FE 427 stroked to a 489ci. Hoping for high 9's on motor at 3200lbs. I also have a Wilson plate system on it. But the car is for backet racing so the Nitrous will only get used a few times. I hope to finish my dads car before I get mine back.

I ordered my cam today and figured out what I'm going to do for piston. The cam is a custom cam .740 lift with 276in 284ex duration @050 with a 110 LSA. The piston are .050 over piston which will make 489ci. The conpression will be 14:7:1 or 14:5:1 Tomorrow I'm going to fill the block with Hard Block and get it ready for the Machine shop.

The heads have 70cc which will make the compression around 13.7:1 which is not what I want. I have Iron CJ Head. I want 14.5:1 so I either mill these heads or just put them on they way they are and later down the road sell them and get what they are worth and buy I nice set of BT or Dove alumium heads. The cam I'm running is a comp cam soild roller .740 lift 276in 284ex duration @.050
