Hi,
Pretty stupid question here, but I'm going to ask anyway....
Engine has been Very slow to crank last few starts. Was cranking over this morning but wouldn't start. Pushed car out of garage and tried to jump start (thinking it was battery) but then didn't turn over at all. Just a 'click'.
Replaced battery anway, and still won't crank - just the dreaded click.
I think it's the starter motor. Any thoughts or tricks I can try to verify this before I replace it? Something else I should check ?

Thanks,
Tom

Whack the starter with a hammer and try again. Really.

If you're sure everything's wired correctly and the battery is brand new, there aren't many options other than the starter. Make sure the solenoid is functioning (sending 12V to the starter with the key in the "Start" position), make sure the cables are tight, and check all of the grounds.

The starter is easy to yank and most auto parts stores will test it for you for free.
