Starter Problem

There seems to be some kind of problem with my starter. My battery is fine however sometimes when i get in my car push the clutch in and turn the key it does nothing. i keep turning time after time and eventually it finally turns the starter. im thinking there may be something loose with the starter so if anyone has any ideas what it could be let me know. THANKS
