hello

ok well been working on my stang, and cleaned the engine bay, and well i started connecting things up today. and well putting the coil in it touched the positive of the starter relay and sparked, my question is, if i try to turn the key and its dead silence nothing happens could it be because of the starter relay??? if not did i connect something wrong on the relay???

problem number 2, i by passed the starter relay and started it, not it will run but its sound as if i had a huge cam....... it lopey kind of sound!!! now i know its my timing, distrib been out, but how do i adjust iti turn it till its maxed out cant turn no more it changes alittle. i pull it up alittle hold the rotor and turn the bodie and it back in turned it more and still runs the same????

also if the tps hasn't been touched but the battery was out of the car does the tps need to be set again???
thank you
good day:shrug:

That was tough to understand (not criticism but if you can clean it up, peoples' advice might be better).

If the car runs but would not crank on it's own, check the starter interlock circuit. The place to start is ensuring the little thin wire is on the solenoid (it sits at the top of the solenoid). You can use a test light to check for 12 cranking volts reaching this wire (remember to depress the clutch pedal).

Use a timing light to set your timing. This removes a lot of guess work (especially since setting the timing on a cold motor by ear can be tough). If you cannot get it in spec without the TFI hitting, then restab the dizzy again (keeping the PIP interface intact).

Good luck.
