Hey guys. I have an 00 GT, and my starter took a crap on. me. Its out of warranty now, and i dont feel like paying a shop to fix replace the starter, plus towing...etc. I already got a replacement Powermaster starter through summit. But i am running into some problems removing the stock starter unit. I cant seem to get to the top (hidden) bolt, and even then, i dont see how i can fit the starter out between the k-member and everything else. I have the haynes manual, but their 4 lines on how to remove it dont help at all. Do i need to drop the k-member and all that BS? Anyone that has done this before, or has any tips I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

loosen both motor mounts and jack engine up , use some long extensions and go in from the front of the kmember almost takes two people one to feel around and get the socket on the bolt head and other to operate the ratchet from the front , getting it back in isnt fun either , I put some black tape inside the socket to hold the bolt in and had friend guide it in the hole just like he guied the socket on it to get it out , if you get it on the bolt keep turning until its all the way out and all the way in , if you pull the socket off the bolt half way through turning it , its just as hard to get back on LOL .
