I tried to install my MAC cold air kit today but it wont clear my STB. I dont want to sacrifice the STB for an extra 3rwhp. Does anyone know of a CAI that will clear the STB? I really just want a nice looking chrome CAI to dress up the engine bay a little. Id rather have the improved handling with the STB than the 3rwhp from the CAI.

There really is no advantage to either the STB or the CAI so you need to decide which one is prettier. Your sig indicates your running DR's...not a corner carving tire and since the STB is more a autocross type unit I would put it in the classifieds.

I think a C&L tube into the MAF and then maybe something into the fender would work?

Have you ever run either one? My strut tower brace made a noticable difference in cowl shake on my convertible and the CAI increased top end throttle response very noticably as well.

In response to the original question, I'm running a BBK STB and a Summit CAI. No interference problems whatsoever.
