OK, I'm wanting to put the Steeda #19 cam in my AODE stang after looking through the search function. I had a few questions for you guys that have the cam:

1. Are you still happy with the #19 cam?

2. Any hints or tips you would recomend?

3. I'm running a set of Thumper E7 heads with GT-40 valves and I'm wondering if 1.7 roller rockers and the #19 cam would have piston clearence problems?

Thanks for your help guys.

well I havent installed mine yet, so I cant be of too much help, but Im pretty sure there would not be any PTV clearance issues.

1....Yup, no complaints..

2....you may require longer PR's. I did with Scorp 1.6s and the same heads as your getting..Thumpers with the spring uggrade on mine, stock valves though.

3....I had plenty of room on mine....with 1.6 though...Always clay the pistons to be sure...While the heads are off it only takes a few minutes then your positive...Use a solid lifter when setting up the cylinder...check both intake and exhaust...you knew that...

I'm no cam guru but with and AODE not sure if the 19s what your really want??? she dont come around til 2800 or so then comes alive...It softened up my bottom end some with a 5spd....just throwing it out....

well, I'm not really ready for a cam. I was wanting to wait till I got a converter and a 3.73 but I have to tear the front half of the motor off so I figured what the heck. I've got a buddy that is running the b-cam with 1.7s and the steeda 19 is the same so I was figuring that everything would be ok.
