Need some opinions here. I have a 2011 Mustang GT with Brembo and wanted a slight drop. Based on LOTS of research and some knowledgeable recommendations, I opted for the Steeda Sport Springs.
The box arrived. It is a Steeda box and has the correct part number for the sport springs stuck to the side. But, when I opened it and looked at the sport springs, they do NOT look ANY pictures I have seen of their sport springs. From the pictures I've seen, the windings indicate a linear and then progressive rate (ie. spaces between the coils are NOT the same through the height of the spring). Also, the powdercoating seems to be either cyan (like Grabber Blue) or black.
The ones I took out of the box appear to be linear - top to bottom. They are also a darker blue (like Kona). Based on other pictures I have seen, these appear to be Steeda's Competition springs.
I do want increased performance and expect to get that with either spring. My only concern is that the Competition springs would be too stiff on a daily driver. Can anyone help me determine which springs I actually got and if I would be better just keeping them if they turn out to be the Competion springs?
