So my damn near bone stock 98GT is bumped up to 18* on the Timing Adjuster... is there any bad about going up that high (other than detonation if you go too high(and bad gas mileage))?

Not quite sure... but honestly, I got BETTER gas mileage with my timing adjuster with advanced timing than stock timing

I think 18 is a tad high. But if everything is ok...
My car wouldn't run without a cel with more than 12deg with the steeda TA.
Oh well got an xcal2 and dyno tune now

Hell yeah it is!!!

I turned my timing back down to stock, to run cheaper gas.. and after 1/4 of a tank, I said "FFFUUUCCKKKK that!" lol

Ya my car is a "company car" so most of my gas is a tax write off...hope with the money i save i can buy some real power.

if your getting WORSE mileage i think you advanced it to far and its not being helpful anymore butyou just cant hear it, tho it should be makign some aweful nasty pings at that level...

Never said "I" was getting bad mileage ... and if you have detionation your gonna hear it. Ive been under hoods for years and thats a sound you notice.
