Steering Wheel Off Center?

Searched for some previous threads on this topic and couldn't find anything. For those of you who have installed the FR500 steering wheel or another wheel, did you have any issues with the steering wheel not being centered when you installed the wheel? Had the FR500 wheel installed on Friday and the steering wheel seems to be pointed about 5 degrees to the right in order to get the wheels pointed straight. The shop that installed it said it only goes on one way and that there isn't a way to install it slightly "off" center. Perhaps this is an issue that could be addressed by an alignment but I thought that it was strange that I didn't notice this with the steering wheel that had been on there since the car was new (98 GT Convertible).

An alignment shop will fix you right up. Do not let them sell you a four wheel alignment. The rear on a GT is not adjustable so you only need a two wheel alignment.

FR500s rock, let's see a pic...

Here is a quick pic of the FR500 steering wheel. I found one that was in brand new shape.

They look nice, but best mod? It looks basically just like the stock wheel except for the perforated leather.

it's not about looks; it's about how it feels and how it improves the driving experience...the steering wheel is the most important connection between you and your car, and a better steering wheel makes a HUGE difference...it is definitely one of those those things that you have to experience to understand...

OTOH the Mach 1 seats were a huge improvement too ;)
