I just purchased an FR500 steering wheel for my 03 GT and was wondering if someone could tell me how hard it is to replace. Maybe someone who has already completed the job could advise. What type of wheel puller do I need to get the wheel off?

get a manual and figure out how to remove the stock airbag you dont want that sucker going off in your face after that you should only need a common puller from the auto parts store

It's easy. I did mine in 10 minutes, then in stalled my old wheel in my buddies two tone interior cobra in another 10.

this is the way I do it.

1. depower the air bag system by disconnecting the battery and waiting a few minutes.

2. remove air bag by removing the plugs on the sides of the wheel and the bolts.

3. disconnect air bag wiring

4. remove torx bolt that holds wheel on, then thread the bolt back in a few threads.

5. rock wheel with some force on the top and bottom and on the sides until it comes off, you really do not need a puller for this

6. install the wheel it will pull itself in place when you torque down the bolt.

7. You should be good from here.
