Stereo Problem

I was listening to my stereo (Mach 460, stock) and all of the sudden it starting buzzing and cracking, what might be my problem? What is the easiest way to fix it?

Does just one speaker make the noise or is it all of them?

It is a constant noise, even if the volume is down all the way it still makes noise, I tried to fade it and balance and the noise is steady throughout.

sounds like some loose wires and/or a shielding issue

check the grounds

My guess is one of your power amps is cooked. They are mounted in the trunk
near the speakers. I thought I had a blown door speaker, same symptoms
you described. But it turned out to be the amp. I found a used one at a car
stereo place for $80. No more noise.
