Hey guys, i just traded my 87 bucket ttop for an 89 gt in great condition with 69k miles and all maintenence records. only problem is the owner cut the wiring harness for the radio. could anyone tell me what each of those wires goes to. and what colors in the dash doors and back panels are positive and negative.

Stereo wires

I busted out my factory electrical/vacuum troubleshooting manual for my 87 and this is what I got: Light green/Yellow= 12V hot at all times
Yellow/Black= 12V hot in acc or run
Orange/BLack= Day/Night Ilumination relay
Light brown/Red= Instrument Illumination
Light brown/White= LH Dash and Door speaker
Orange/Light green= LH Dash and Door speaker
Dark Green/Orange= RH Dash and Door speaker
White/Light greem= RH Dash and Door speaker
Pink/Light brown= LH rear speaker
Pink/Light green= LH rear speaker
Pink/Light brown= RH rear speaker
Dark green/Orange= RH rear speaker
Red= ground
I realize that some of these are used more than once so if you can, get clip leads and an ohmmeter or test light and figure out which is which. As far as polarity, the book doesn't say.

They use a common ground that still allows for balance and fader.
