You're certainly the minority for your age group my friend. Most guys at 24 are still under the impression that stock Civic with a fart pipe and a wing is a 400hp, 10-second car, shoots blue and green flames out the tail pipe and will trounce any and all 5.0L Fox's. They also live their lives a quarter mile at a time and believe winning, is winning. It doesn't matter if it's by an inch, or a mile......because lets be honest....nothing else matters. Not the mortgage, not the store, not their team and all their bull****! Because for that 10-seconds or less, they're free....Yo!

Only when they use NAWZ, on a regular crappy road, with no possible traction.

I never understood how we were suposed to believe that a front wheel drive Supra, or street tires, spinning the tires all the way though 1st and 2nd gear was suposed to run nearly neck and neck the whole length of the race with a 9-second Pro Street Challenger that was able to pull the front wheels off the ground?

I mean...hear I thought spinning tires off the line hurt your 60ft time, but it seems that's not the case with the all mighty Supra?

Well it seems the 1/4 mile takes about 3 or 4 minutes in movies, which I guess is plenty of time for spinning tires, catching up, hitting the nitrous, and looking over at the other driver with a comment "Buster" or some damn thing, and jumping by a train. Hahaha

I think the movie is a great basis for any car lover, no matter how inaccurate!
I use to love those movies

Though Dom really shouldn't of said 'granny shifting, not double clutching like you should be'

I hate the series now though. Brian always gets a GT-R or some tuner like car.
Dom always gets a muscle car. But really the original characters didn't care, they just liked cars, hence Dom's badass Rx-7...

I really really liked these movies as a kid....

I do like the movies....anything is better than more sparkly vampires, but please stop wrecking late 60's Chargers!!! Wreck the damn Civics or Skylines or whatever is popular with the rice burning group. Hahaha
