Stock 1/4 Mile Time?

What is the advertised 1/4 mile time for a Fox Body?

I've heard everything from 14.7s to 13.90s. It seems some people have better luck than others. Some guys are running 12s on stock E7 heads while others can't get out of the 13s with a full H/C/I.

According to this site http://www.flemworld.com/85/info.html The '85 GT ran anywhere from 14.9 to 15.9 depending on the magazine who tested it. They '87+ cars were only 10hp over those so i would expect mid 14s for most cars, maybe low 14s for an experienced driver with good traction.

keep in mind these cars are 20+ years old or nearing that.

Some haven't been kept in the greatest shape.

So anywhere from 13.8 to 15.8 is a reasonable number

I would LOVE to see a stock one on stock tires turn a 13.8

From my experiences, on a semi crappy track (which I guess is what most will see), its like 14.7-15.4 on average.

No timing bumps, no tricks, stock.

I would love for my 91 5.0L 5 spd car with CAI, H pipe, MAC cat-back LCA's and 3.73's break into the low 14's.

Yeah, when i got my coupe, it had a C4 in it and Flowmasters on an otherwise 100% stock car and my first trip to the track was a 14.7 on street tires. Anything more than that is just good driving/good traction/good weather/luck.

I myself ticked off a 13.9 with my only mod being an o/r h-pipe (still had the stock 2.73's) with 160k+ miles on the odometer.

Those are good times above! Lapeer would never allow those type of times with a stock-like/light modded car. Milan might, but I heard Milan sucked last summer too. I haven't been to either place since 2004.

my coupe isn't bone stock, but the only mod's i had was weld rims, off road h-pipe and 2 chamber flo's with crappy federal tires and finally clicked off an 8.96 @ 79mph(1/8th) and 13.92 @ 99.12mph(1/4).

From what I've experienced, they have by far the best track prep...as well as the shortest lines. Back when I first started running, it wasn't out of the ordinary to get 15-20 runs in an evening.

a friend mine has a 93 coupe all stock except weld wheels and no mufflers that runs 14.0's.

Dads car bone stock went 14.20 @ 96 at 1000' elevation. Same car with 3.55s, struts, catback, prochamber and Hoosiers went 13.3 @ 101.

cleanlx put his no option coupe in the high 12's.... only mods were timing bump,bigger maf,255pump,exhaust,slicks.4.10 gears

im hoping to get my coupe into the high 11's low 12's with gear, c4, and gas. Motor will be all stock with a shot. Gonna have alot of weight reduction and some stickies.

wasn't exactly STOCK but only mods were full exhaust and bumped timing (3.31 gears) 13.81@99 w/ 2.167 60' still full weight and everything worked for what it's worth. Odd my 95 that weights more with less done to it went quicker though? :shrugs:

I hope none of these 'stock' cars have had the timing bumped and are on anything other than a street tire (non drag radial)

I know what my brothers did with like 2 things and a timing advance at a crap track.......but thats NOT stock. (14.2 @ 97.xx with him driving like a tard)

My sn95 I had to bump the timing and drive the funk out of it to get a 14.9 at 89 and some change.

15.4ish stock.
