I took my engine apart and found a bent rod, caused by hydrolocking it one day coming home from the track. I need to know how long stock connecting rods are? Also I need to get new main bearings, rod bearings, timing chain, etc. Where is the best place to get all of this? And what are some really good rings to put in the car now that I have the pistons out?? Thanks for the help.........

I believe it's 5.090. Check Summit or Jegs then compare prices with over the net. They're usually pretty competetive.

Thanks guys,
I wish I had the money for some scat rods, but not this time. The wife might let me get some AFR's for the reassembly though.

Scat rods would be a waste of money, the stock crank and rods will hold more HP then the stock block can take.

I'd add ARP rod bolts while it is apart, the stock rod bolts are the weak link in the bottom end.

I like Total Seal rings the Classic set is what you want they are file to fit. I also like Federal Mogul or Clevitte Bearings.

Thanks man,
I have heard good things about all the components you mentioned. That is probably what I will go with, but the motor only has about 2,000 miles on it since it was built professionally so Im debating tearing anything apart except what needs to be taken apart. Do you know anyone who has a stock rod laying around?? (5.090) length? What do you guys think about PAW in California??

Yeah...what he said. I've got a bunch of stock rods. I can send you a few if you want to pay for the shipping.
