I still have my stock exhaust and really enjoy the sound. I'm really just looking to make it a little bit more aggressive. I haven't modified the car much so I don't think that a whole new exhaust is really needed(nor do I have the money). Does anyone still have the factory exhaust but swapped out the H-pipe? If so, let me know what you replaced it with and how you like it.

it would sound nicer if you swapped out the H pipe for an X. I have a catted Magnaflow X. You can buy from www.fulllineexhaust.com - give them a call and tell them you are from stangnet.com and they will give you a deal i heard. I got mine from www.partshopper.com for 379 shipped. It will smooth out the sound and give you some power you can feel.. catbacks you can't feel the difference of as much, but will give you a more drastic sound change.

-also check out ww.mustangexhaust.com

Stangnet should have exhaust forum IMO.. seeing new (old) exhaust thread everyday is not very pleasing...

but yea.. any pipes over stock will give you new sound and more power. I have bbk catted X together with LT.. and I them everyday

get an off road X if you can. They're so easy to swap in and out after you do it once. Later on have some straight through mufflers welded in. Like Magnaflow, or the Magnapacks if you want louder -

See my sig for a video of a similar set up.

Go with the Magnaflow X with cats. I called completeexhaust.com and got my X with cats for $398, and the magnaflow cat-back for $299. Shipping was like $25 bucks extra. Don't buy anywhere other than completeexhaust or fullinexhaust, unless you like dishing out $500+. Your's might be cheaper since it is a 96, good luck.

Yes change it, but I also think you'd like it if you got a nice catback too
