What is the piping size, im getting info that its 2in and 1/4 but i thought it was 2.5in, not sure, someone is asking me so they can buy some mufflers and have them welded in. according to brothers they sell direct replacement mufflers that are 2.5 but they say the stock ones are 2.25in

yep, stock mid-pipe and catback are 2.25" the whole way.

I think you can still get 2.5" mufflers welded in, but if you really want to improve and increase your sound, replace the mid-pipe with an H or X. Mufflers are OK, but don't make that big a difference. You won't be dissapointed.

In fact, with the stock catback, your stang will sound much better with an aftermarket mid-pipe.

Your sig says you got a Magnaflow catback which should be 2.5 inches. Most aftermarket catbacks are 2.5".
