Hey Everyone,

Recently I replaced my front coil springs, the old ones had broken. I purcahsed used springs from 'Midwest-Mustang' (because i'm too cheap to buy new ones). When I bought the springs, he said they were off a 2001 V6. I have a 1995 V6. Anyway, after I had the springs installed, I noticed that the springs actually raised my front about 1 or 1.5 inched from the factory height. I wondering why this is, Does the 99+ springs actually fit a pre99 correctly? Or maybe these springs are from a GT?

Anyone know why my front height is so high? I want to have the springs cut down about an inch, or maybe two.

Any suggestions would be great!

HERES SOME IMAGES OF THE FRONT HEIGHT;

Cheers,
Alex

Holy CRAP! the 99+ springs are longer than the 93-98, but dayum, that is sick. You definitely don't want to keep those springs. If you can return them and get another set that is from your body style, go for it. If not, and you want to equalize that height, I'll sell you my stock rear springs

I had purchased them from MidwestMustang.net, I doubt he will refund them nor replace them for pre99 springs.

You would think he would know that 99+ springs will not fit a pre99 correctly...
I guess this is the price I have to pay for buying used junk!

Take them back to where you got them installed and try to get a coil cut on them, that should fix your problem(drop it down). That is if you can't return them. Otherwise Ford C springs are 109 bucks. www.gefracing.com and they will give you an 1" to an 1.5" drop. Thats too expensive???
