I have my plugs gapped at .045 is this right, i have also heard to gap them at .054 which of these is correct, also if you have your plugs undergapped what will this cause? I run autolite 25's so this should be a common plug for our cars correct. Trying to find the source of my popping misfire at low rpms. Also is there a way to check the voltage on the ECT sensor or the TFI (ithink) module to test them and make sure that they are good before replacing them? Is there anything else i should look for. I don't have a vibration, and i know it is not the balancer ----just replaced not long ago. I was also wondering if possibly it is the fuel pump cutting out, that said is there a quick way to check the status of the fuel pump and see how it is working.

Thanks

Jason

I'm pretty sure .045 is the right gapping for the plugs. As for your popping misfire, have you checked your timing at all? Advance it a little bit and see if it goes away.

right now my timing is set at 10* and i only did that so that i could run 87 octane fuel, and i never did really notice that too much when the timing advanced, why would stock timing make the car sputter pop etc.

thanks 1105
