So I go over to my garage this morning to get in there and start working on a 302 I had in there which I was putting in my 83 mustang and as soon as I get to the door I see the marks. The lock has been cut... I go in... its all gone... my motor, my tools, all the goodies for the motor, my transmission and all the goodies for it. Only thing left is a stripped 351w I pulled... But now I have nothing to put back on it. My plan was to get my car going but I cant now, not to mention its blocking my driveway and I have got alot of complaints from the city. Im going to have to get rid of it... I was wondering though what kind of price I should put on it. Its just a body... 83 coupe with a not so hot interior. Body only has about 70k miles on it. What are your thoughts on it?

Why not claim this on your home owners insurance? They'd pay in a heartbeat. First you'd need to call the police to make a report.

Whoever did it knew what you had in there. Any shady people you know that would do it?

Scan the wantads or local EBay sales or craigslist and see if any of your parts start popping up

I dont have a single friend who knows more then 1/16th of what I know about motors... They got... all my half inch and quarter inch sockets and rachets... most of my 3/8s and all my deepwells. Most of my special tools like pullers and grease guns and all my air tools... didnt get the air compressor cause I had it chained up real good (Toe chain) Got my 3 ton jack and jack stands... Still got some jacks but **** im only 20. It took me a long time to get all that ****. I dont wanna work on cars no more Honestly I think it was someone who lived on the street over there. Its kinda a bad part of town... I told the police that but they said they can only do so much. They mentioned checking the pawn shops and stuff. The motor wasnt honestly alot but all the goodies I had set me back about 600. It was a stock 5.0 shortblock. But I had a edlebrock preformer intake and carb. Some headers. 3g alternator, and a high flow radiator... got my B&M convertor too

Thats retarded! It must be someone you know unfortunately, i mean, who breaks into a place randomly and has the logistics / time / equiptment to steal a heavy ass motor and clean out EVERY part you have?

That sucks man, goodluck getting it back.

if the body was straight with no major rust issues I'd prolly give about 700 for it.
