I have a 2000 GT. This one has me baffled. I pulled into my driveway the other day and when I pulled up close to the fence where I park I noticed my headlights seemed to be on. I checked the headlight switch and it was off but when I turn it on it got a little brighter. I shut them off and then set the e-brake so I could get out to look and they went out completely. I know there has got to be a short somewhere but where could it be that it is affected by the e-brake?
A couple of weeks after I first bought the car (used) it completely died on me one day so I had it towed to the dealership. They found the problem and told me it was a ground that they had not tightened when they worked on it and charged me nothing. That was about a year ago. Could this be related somehow? I do not want to bring it back to the dealership because I had it there a couple of weeks ago because the throw out bearing is making a huge racket. They refused to cover it under warranty claiming that the aftermarket clutch quadrant I put in was what caused it to go bad. They told me for 800 dollars they could put everything back to stock and I told them to stuff it.
Any one have any ideas? I am pretty good with electrical problems but really don't know where to begin with this one.
