Guys,
I just purchased a set of the sylvania silverstar Ultra bulbs to replace my factory ones that were very dim. I popped the old ones out and put in the SS bulbs. Simple project that took all of 10 minutes. After this I went to cut on the headlights and noticed that in either dim or high position the blue hi beam indicator stays on the whole time the headlights are on. It doesent really matter as they work fine and I know the difference between high and low without some dash light telling me, but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this?
I know for a fact they are hooked up right as the pins only are allowed to enter one way with the plugs.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

did you try putting the other bulbs back in just to see if the problem still occurs?

The high beam indicator gets power directly from the MF switch as I recall. If you jiggle the MF switch stalk, does the light go out?

That would be the Multi function switch and turn signals, hi / lowbeams lever or handle.

I checked on the stalk and there seems to be something very interesting happening. Nothing that will indicate a short or loose MF switch, but the positioning is wrong.
What I mean is...
When your sitting in the seat and have the stalk in your left hand you can either push it forward or pull it back to flash the brights. Mine now has lost its mind, the position of the stalk pushed away from you is supposed to be the high setting. Mine is the low setting now WTF???
So now the bright setting is in the middle and when you pull it to you it does not flash the bright lights becasue they are already on !

Holy ****, Where is that bottle of tylenol

I'm not one to toss parts at something, but it sure sounds like your MF switch took a dump.
