So, who did you order the cage from, how much was it? And is it going to be cheaper than having someone make/install one? I had my chrome moly 8.5 cert cage done parts and labor for just under $1,500. Plus I was able to have the front bars put behind the dash. I did deliver the car with the entire interior out of the car.

got the tubing from S&W... same kit as @84Ttop used in his car and we are going to tweak it as needed. its mild steel so it was only 328. and then im picking it up so that saved 120 in shipping. the 2 local builders i talked to wanted ~3K to do a 8.50 legal cage.

You bumped your head if you want to x the doors... I would put a roof brace in it before an x in the door.... If you really feel frisky put the kidney bar in but I know for a fact that you will not be happy about climbing over the x brace to get your chocolate/vanilla swirly at the ice cream stand

i hear a .40 and a shovel is cheaper...

biggest thing ive found getting in and out of the race cars has been the height of the X in the door. if its low under the dash its pretty easy to deal with
