Hey all!

Planning to stip the car out in a one day festival! I'm keeping driveline and suspension for an upcomming Cobra project.

Anyone ever done that here? How did you have the remains taken away? I'm not using the fuel injection, but need to remove everything to make the unit sellable. What needs to be taken out? I'd even trade the F.I. for a 5-lug 3.55 rear.

Any Ideas out there?

Thanks

I stripped an '86 GT in one day with the help of both of my teenaged cousins. We even removed the windshield and cut the entire roof off with a sawzall. I then called a tow truck to haul it off to the junkyard. It didn't cost me anything to get rid of it, because scrap metal was selling for a high price back then, and he made his money by selling it for scrap.

You should have seen that car as it left the driveway. There was virtually nothing left on it!

Shoot, there are some places in South East San Diego where you could park your car and have it stripped for free, while you were eating a burrito.

Yep, been through the process of stripping a car quickly to build mine. I bought a totaled 92 GT Conv. and it was almost 100% bare. Only left the parking brake and brake lines. EVERYTHING was gone, suspension and all. Wasn't a single wire left in there. Even took the rear bumper and gas lid for fun. hehe A flat bed tow truck came by to pick it up free of charge. It was pretty funny seeing a shell laying around.
