I am in month 7 of my 67 mustang restoration. I am restoring this car as a driver, not a show pony. Also, the facilities I have been using to do this at is only as available, so my restoration hasnt been in the most ideal order. I really wanted to have the car stripped down and then media blasted, but unfortunately it just didnt work out that way. I have replaced the suspension, brakes, engine bay restored, put the engine/trans back in, overhauled the rear, steering, and the a/c unit is coming in next week. I am putting a lot of new panels on the car (fenders, hood, valance, trunk lid, rear valance) The remaining paint is actually in decent shape (base coat clear coat) but I want it gone. Does anyone have any experience stripping off old paint with chemical stripper? If so, whats the best out there? Or if someone has a better idea i would gladly consider it. Thanks

Wow, that looks like a lot of agonizing fun....but thanks for the alternative, i might start off with that and move on to the stripper if that dont yield the results i like.
