Since I am rebuilding my 302, I was thinking of buying a stroker kit. I do not do any serious racing, but would like quality parts. I know the options are a 331, a 347 and what else? A 306 I hear is basically a 302. Also where should I buy a kit at? I see them all of the time in 5.0 Mustang for 500-900 bucks. What are the benefits to having a 331 or 347 and the cons of each?
If I have a stock block, and get a stroker kit, what else would I need to buy to make the shortblock good to go? Frost plugs, all of the bearings? I have never done a motor rebuild so I have no idea where to start.
